Here I go again.. I thought this was licked but it is happening almost every time I suspend now (8 out of 10?). I try changing to another tty also sshing in but the only way to get a response is reboot. That makes journalctl logs and dmseg moot.
Some specs:
Installed on new laptop, 2015-04-24
Asus Q551LNB Laptop
Intel i7-5500U @ 2.40GHz
2GB Discrete NVIDIA GeForce 840M
8GB System RAM
4.0.4-2-ARCH
Gnome 3.16 (GDM)
xf86-video-intel 2.99.917-5
nvidia 352.09-1 (only when using Bumblebee)
using
systemctl suspendExcerpt from my journalctl:
May 24 06:13:12 archasus systemd-journal[137]: Time spent on flushing to /var is 953us for 2 entries.

May 24 00:25:43 archasus NetworkManager[252]: <info> sleep requested (sleeping: no enabled: yes)I have also tried the lts kernel, didn't help this issue. Also it was less frequent (I think) 2 or 3 kernel updates ago?
This morning I switched out GDM for slim to see if that helps? There were a lot of entries (not errors) before suspend.
Are suggestions how can we diagnose this?
Thank you.

Slim wouldn't let me suspend at all. It would start and then come right back on. I switched to LightDM and have suspended about 4 or 5 times in the last day without issue. If this goes on I'll mark the thread solved....
BTW... Since I stopped using GDM my display backlight no longer changes/blinks/refreshes on resume. Leads me to believe X, GDM and Intel graphics don't like each other?
