Temporary system freeze while gaming.

Driver: nvidia 352.09-1
Kernel: 4.0.4-2-ARCH
GPU: GTX 680

When gaming lately I have been experiencing temporary system freezes.
Usually they get by after a minute or two.

All that is printed to the log is:

May 24 18:04:05 ArcherBase kernel: NVRM: os_schedule: Attempted to yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context
May 24 18:04:03 ArcherBase kernel: NVRM: Xid (PCI:0000:01:00): 8, Channel 0000001a
May 24 18:04:03 ArcherBase kernel: NVRM: GPU at PCI:0000:01:00: GPU-01c15a81-0705-53f4-fbbf-e89bddf3a597

Not sure where to start looking so Im gonna try to install the nvidia 340 driver branch to see if the problem continues.

Re: Temporary system freeze while gaming.

Okay I have experienced the same problem with the 340xx driver now.
While most of the system unfreezes, the game does not always seem to unfreeze completely.

Edit: I have also tried with the current linux-lts kernel, same error

Re: Temporary system freeze while gaming.

I got same error and it turned out to be a thermal issue.
