PhotoRec resume option

Well I use this program to (try) recover some files from a usb flash...the problem is that it takes too much time...and I'm forced to resume.
I can start from the last scan if the device uses the same /dev/sdX, if not it will start all over again. For example: how to resume if the previous scan was with /dev/sdb and now it is  /dev/sdc?

I hope I was understood.

Try giving a fixed device name to your usb drive using udev.
