Grub not displaying on Boot

My Grub is not displaying, it goes blank for a few seconds and just loads straight to the tty. Grub is working it's just not showing the list, I've messed with the conf file in /etc/default/grub but it doesn't change anything.

Did you run this afterwards:

# grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

You need to post the relevant configuration files if you are having trouble.

Comment these entries out and rerun `grub-mkconfig`

You can display the menu before you try this by pressing the escape key.

I did that before but I tried commenting them out again cause I probably did it wrong but it's still doing the same thing. I'll switch it to the newbie section right now.

I just want to clarify that the GRUB is showing up but my HDMI TV "loses signal" when (I think) the framebuffer is used. Once the tty is loaded the signal is caught, it's displays on the HDMI.

I placed it in the Kernel/Hardware section previously cause on Gentoo I had the same problem with the Mininal Gentoo CD. Once I built the system and compiled the kernel the problem went away.

If you are now claiming that you *can* see the GRUB menu, can you please explain exactly what the "problem" is.

I never said I could see it I just said it's "showing up" as it's loading up cause if I press a directional button then it breaks the 5s timer and it gets stuck in the GRUB menu. I press Enter and the TTY loads up, so again it's showing up it's just not "Displaying" on my HDMI TV.

Sorry, i phrased it wrong but that's why I said it's loosing the connection/signal between the system and the HDMI TV while in GRUB.

The issue may be related with the graphic card. It would be nice to try nomodeset and/or KMS to fix the problem.
The HDMI may loose the the signal during the setting of xorg,
