KDE:Trash-bin on external ntfs usb drive ?

Hi,

I'm a little bit confused; I'm pretty sure, that I had a Trash Bin on my external USB NTFS Drive called .Trash-1000.

But now it's gone (maybe deleted bymyself), and when I "move to trash" files with dolphin from my USB Drive, they are moved to ~/local/share/Trash.

In the dolphin settings I see only my mounted ext4-drives in the Trash-Settings

Is there a possibility to "reactivate" Trash-in on USB-Drives ?

I'm using still KDE4

Thx

Re: KDE:Trash-bin on external ntfs usb drive ?

It's a bug that was supposedly fixed but is still present. All FUSE-based FS are affected as well as cifs/nfs. You might want to vote for that bug so it gets a higher priority.
It's not actually a bug in dolphin but the kio component. For me it even creates the .Trash-1000 folder, but then proceeds to move files to my local trash directory. Especially annoying when you're deleting a multiple GB file over network.

Re: KDE:Trash-bin on external ntfs usb drive ?

Hmm, thanks for your link, but I have a little problem. I've also installed PCLinuxOS with KDE in a VM and (fanfare) it works like a charme with that Dolphin ...

could it be a problem of the combination systemd/kde ?

PSLinuxOS uses still SysVinit and mounts the drive under /media

I doubt systemd has anything to do with it. But if you can figure out what kind of configuration PCLinuxOS does differently, then maybe you could fix that in arch as well.
