Does somebody has an idea what to do about it? I need wine for a program I use on daily basis.

Same problem here.
Quick solution: I downgraded to wine 1.7.43-1 and it's working fine.

To round it up: how did you downgrade to wine 1.7.43-1 and prevent pacman from updating?

You can downgrade via Arch Rollback Machine and to stop pacman from upgrading you can edit the pacman.conf and add "wine" to IgnorePkg =
Cheers

Just wanted to say this problem just affected me too and downgrading to wine-1.7.42-2-x86_64 worked for me.

Same here. Downgrade...

Hah, so that's why wine-git was crashing on me while the previous stable version did not. It was a sign of things to come.
The current up-to-date version shows the same behavior: win32 prefixes work, win64 prefixes do not.
