Hello everyone, for some reason when i press the key for the quotation mark on my keyboard it does this ¨ ¨ instead of "", i wanna know if theres a way to correct this, cuz i really need the right quotation marks for programming.. I have looked this up, didnt find any results...

Look at the output of:
localectl
Is the layout correct?
If not, consult localectl()

yes, its correct as far as im concerned, all the other characters are exactly like in my keyboard except for this specific one.

Are you sure, you use a default US Keyboard?
Elsewise you should set the VC keymap, as described in the Beginner's Guide#Console font and keymap.

i have a canadian keyboard, but it should be the same, because i didnt see any options for en-canada only en-us...

okay, i figured something out, if i press alt+shift+quotation mark button, i get what i wanted which is "... but thats not what it should be doing..
