[SOLVED] Automounting encrypted USB stick with pcmanfm

Hi, I encrypted an USB stick with LUKS. Pcmanfm automatically detects it and prompts me for a password when inserting the stick. After providing the password, the device is shown as unlocked, but when I try moving files onto it or any other file operation, I get a "Permission denied" error. I googled for an answer, but unfortunately the answers were quite old and none that I saw were Arch specific and at this point I'm not sure whether this is normal behavior or not and if the encrypted USB drive works as intended. I saw something about the user not having the permissions to create the ext4 filesystem for the USB stick, could that be it? If it is, what would be the most elegant solution for this issue?

I've never had problems automounting unencrypted USB devices - plugging in the device has always been good enough and no system level tweaks were ever needed.

Thanks for your help.

EDIT:

Figured it out. Reformatting the USB device from ext4 to fat32 removed permission issues.
