Gummiboot to systemd-boot?

It seems gummiboot is now subsumed into systemd as systemd-boot and is not being developed anymore. The Arch Boot Loaders wiki page implies that we can follow the Gummiboot wiki page and just use the command bootctl instead of gummiboot. To the experts here, is that the case? Should that wiki page just be re-titled to systemd-boot, and that command changed?

If I want to change from gummiboot to systemd-boot is the procedure as simple as a "bootctl install" then remove the gummiboot package?

Yes -- the packages are identical except for the name and the greater integration with systemd (you get more output from `bootctl` when you switch to systemd-boot).

Re: Gummiboot to systemd-boot?

OK, I just went ahead and did "bootctl install" and removed gummiboot on my Arch pc. Reboots fine. Did the same to my Arch laptop and it reboots fine also. Thanks.

I'm not authoritative enough to edit the wiki pages, hopefully somebody will.

Re: Gummiboot to systemd-boot?

Doing gummiboot remove prior to installing systemd version might be a good idea.
