Bluetooth with rtl8723be

I have recently bought a new HP 350 G2 and installed the latest version of arch.
My problem is that the bluetooth device does not actually scan for other devices, nor does it appear as visible to them.
When using

bluetoothctl

it looks to be working alright, but, as mentioned above, nothing is discovered and it can't be discovered.

I know the problem lays in the realtek card driver (rtl8723be).
The internet connectivity issues reported by many users was easily fixed by following the wiki instructions at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wi … Frtl8723be
I have searched through all forum posts, read the wiki and googled thoroughly but can't seem to find a solution to the bluetooth problem.

My question is if anyone on this forum has successfully managed to make the bluetooth work as intended with rtl8723be?
