Problems w/ plugging and unplugging ac

Hello,

when I unplug or plug in the ac, everything that accesses battery information hangs for about a minute (e.g. my i3 statusbar or catting /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/uevent). After a minute battery information is accessible again, the remaining time is calculated, ...

I have a Lenovo U330p. Please tell me what information I should additionally post. Thank you.

I have a similar issue where either the battery info won't update or the kernel panics. Please help! I'm running the latest versions of everything.
