I am trying to get the fingerprint reader on my HP tc4400 working with fprintd. It shows up as an authentec aes2501 under lsusb.
When I run fprind-enroll, it doesn't seem to be doing anything when I swipe my finger over it, with any finger. The same occurs with fingerprint-gui.
dmesg doesn't appear to have anything relating to this, and I have attempted running as root as well, with no change.
It also used to read just fine in linux.
