Topic kinda says it all; any websites which contains flash makes firefox crash. I believe the problem started 1-2 days ago. I'm clueless, I don't remember there has been any related updates.
I've tried to move ~/.mozilla somewhere else, and reinstall flashplugin, which not fixed the problem.
Oh yeah.. opera DOES NOT crash with flash.
Thanks in advance.

Are you using the composite extension, e.g. via xcompmgr?
(Also, keep in mind that the Flash plugin basically sucks. Weird, stupid malfunctions are kind of par for the course.)

Nope I'm not using composite.. and yeah it sucks

It doesn't crash all the time for me, but any site with flash on it makes firefox freeze occasionally. I haven't updated in the last few days though, and I hear a new version is available, so I'll try that first then.

Do you run firefox with aoss ? When used aoss to hijack the sound firefox sometimes hanged on sites with flash and sound.

Yeah it did occasionally before, but now it does it with every page.
I've just -Suy'ed, and there's no update for flash

Aha! That's what I do, yes. Is there anything I can do against this, except for not wrapping it with aoss? Because I quite like how software mixing worked out of the box for me on arch

Lol, I swear by god or whatever that I HAVEN'T touched anything, but when I woke up and started my box, it just worked.
It's really confusing, especially when I don't know what the problem is.
But anyways, thanks for all your help.
I guess I can draw a conclusion: Flash suck

Wait, it's actually possible to use dmix at all now?

I don't understand what did you mean.
You can hear to music with amarok and hear sound from flash played in firefox. The only thing You must do is run firefox with aoss.

Ohh... Uh, I thought dmix was supposed to let two apps use ALSA, theoretically with or without OSS emulation, at the same time?
Umm, never mind...

I think it does, does it?
I think Firefox directly connects to /dev/dsp.
