Arch Linux boot

Hello, I have just installed Arch on my new laptop. But when booting I get following issue with my BCM43142 internet card:

bluetooth hci0 command 0x1003 tx timeout

I do not need bluetooth, so is there a way to turn this off from the advanced boot options in arch linux, now when I cant boot into Arch?

Regards
Frederik

Did you read the first link Jason posted? It even has a suggestion for when you can't boot... use the kernel command line.

Re: Arch Linux boot

Yeah, but I could not get the kernel command line to work(I am not sure how(and where) to write it?). And I cannot either get it to work when blacklisitng. When blacklisting it does not say the error anymore, but does not boot. It just waits on nothing.

I doubt these two things are related. Chroot in and read your journal to find out why your machine is hanging (or X/GDM/Whatever isn't starting).

To read the manpage of journalctl while booted from a livecd, type man journalctl.

Re: Arch Linux boot

This is the moment I'd consider booting from the Arch live medium. It will not only enable you to read the journalctl manpage, but act on your newly gained knowledge without hesitation.
