[SOLVED] volumeicon notification

volumeicon-gtk2 is compiled with notification support however upon volume change (with the mouse wheel over the volume icon) the notification (dunst) reads "Volume Icon" instead of the volume percent. Is this the normal behaviour for the application?

Edit: New 0.5.1 release of volumeicon-gtk2 now has an OSD chooser with GTK+ Popup Window available (as in the gtk3 release).

Re: [SOLVED] volumeicon notification

Dunst has very basic functionality for displaying notifications. Try using "xfce4-notifyd" (it's suitable for lightweight WMs as well), it shows volumeicon notifications correctly (with icon and progressbar).
