Conky Question

Is it possible to add a different background color to each element of a .conkyrc? An exmaple would be a ram percentage with a blue background next to a cpu usage percentage with a green background. I was going to look on the conky sourcefourge docs, but they are currently unavailable.

Re: Conky Question

After re-reading my post, I think I should go back and add a little more clarification. I'm currently piping conky to the i3bar, and I was wondering if it would be possible to use conky to make something akin to the bar shown in this picture. I set conky up according to this guide from the i3 website. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Conky Question

In that guide, conky simply outputs text, i3bar parses it into elements/blocks. The documentation for i3bar is here. I don't see anything about background colors, but you can apparently use pango markup which does support background colors. If that doesn't work you can look into alternatives for i3bar.
