Donations

So I would like to donate some to the arch community ... I have been around here and there for a few years and really find a lot of value in this distro.  However in the past when I have donated places it has been 10$ here 10$ there... I would like to help out here but is 10 dollars even helpful or would i be wasting some ones time?  I guess I am curious how much is actually helpful to donate.

Re: Donations

I don't know how the money situation is here (falls into the not my job category).  I do know our main expense is the various servers we have.  We spend 50euro x2 (or 3)? a month on our package building server, web servers, etc...

So USD10 is not going to pay that - but that is not how donations work.  It is the combined small amounts from everyone that make a difference.

Re: Donations

I was about to post about donations actually. I just tried to donate and donation didn't go through. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything wrong with credit card I used.

Why aren't Bitcoin donations accepted?..

I was trying to donate just now, from Ireland, but couldnt find the country in the drop-down list. I tried to surprise you with a donation from "Pitcairn" but it didnt go through
Am I missing something?
What is Ireland listed under?

Re: Donations

Today I wanted to make a small donation.
It seems that the only way of doing so involves:

  • credit card number

  • expiration day

  • card security number

and of course

  • first & last name

  • full address, street, country

  • phone number

Sorry, I am not OK with this.
Is is so difficult to use PayPal, or preferably Bitcoin?

Re: Donations

You can just give your money to me...   I make sure it gets spent on beer for me.
