NForce4: no sound (solved)

Hi,

I recently changed my PC and have an Athlon64 3200+ on an Asus-tek A8N-E motherboard.

I managed to install Arch 0.7.1 without problems, except for the sound .. I already installed nforce drivers, edited my /etc/rc.conf and my /etc/modprobe.conf with what I found in another post from this forum, but it seems that my sound "card" isn't detected ..

/etc/rc.conf

Re: NForce4: no sound (solved)

This is how modprobe.conf should look like:'

whargoul:~$ cat /etc/modprobe.conf.pacnew
#
# /etc/modprobe.conf (for v2.6 kernels)
#
whargoul:~$

No need to have

install snd-pcm modprobe -i snd-pcm ; modprobe snd-pcm-oss ; true
install snd-seq modprobe -i snd-seq ; modprobe snd-seq-oss ; true

in 'modprobe.conf' anymore.

Arch - It's something refreshing
