gnome2.14 warnings

When opening some of the preferences (at least both theme & font) some kind of warning appears for a really small amount of time and then disappears again, and the applet starts. It is really too short to see what the warning is, and it is also not arch related.

Still I'd like to know what the warning is, and why it is there.   :?:

Re: gnome2.14 warnings

Who maintains gnome 2.14 actually? This is not even in the testing repo, isn't it?

Re: gnome2.14 warnings

Ah, thanks, missed that. Do you run testing as main repository?

yes, I switched to testing to help fix some bugs, but it would have been better for me just using current/extra, as all kind of weird things happen

Re: gnome2.14 warnings

Is there any software for creating a kind of desktop movie? You could film the message then, and later watch it in slow motion ... roll

Re: gnome2.14 warnings

i found it allready, it tries to connect to the gnome-settings-daemon, which works fine....
probably has something to do with the bonobo changes just before the code freeze of gnome 2.13, i will try to get it fixed in the next day or two.

Hell, yes! I was curious and digged for some input, and found you are right.
