Hello all,
After the display has been in standby, every time it tries to resume it comes on it displays no signal and goes back to standby.
It does not matter weather the computer has been in standby, screen disabled with xset dpms force standby or off, or under timeout.
It is posstible to switch to a VT with ctrl+alt+f1 after wich the display comes on and a restart of SDDM will restore the display.
I've tried more kernel parameters then I can count, under wich
libata.noacpi=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=0 hpet=disable processor.nocst=1
Also tried many different BIOS settings including:
Disable enhanced speed step
Disable C states
Manual CPU voltage setting
But no avail.
During testing, the best i've ever managed is a black screen that can be fixed with kwin_x11 --replace.
After wich plasma crashes, recovers and all windows are resized to minimum.
The display is an ASUS PB287Q connected to my GTX970 by displayport. Im using nvidia propriatary drivers from the extra repo and the system is fully up to date.
Is there anything else I could try?
If you need more info, logfiles or anything else, please ask
Thanks
Here are my system specs:

Hi. I have same issue with a totally diferent hardware config. I have a AMD-FX8320 plugged into on Asrock 990FX-Extreme4 and MSI R9 290X gaming executing xf86-video-ati 7.5.0 on 4.1.4-1-ARCH kernel.
I think my problem is the same. If I power off my TV (is connected trough HDMI) and then, turn it on, no signal is showed on screen. However on that moment, If I change to another TTY pressing ctrl+alt+2 signal comes to life and monitor shows the console.
I will continue searching on google, if I found any solution I will let you know ![]()

Hi,
I have the same problem w/ my setup. This is a segfault in Xorg. Interestingly if I use i3 as window manager (startet via startx on tty) the tty comes on and shows some error messages after resume.
If xfce4 instead of i3 is used the screen stays in standby mode.
The error message is somthing similar to this: http://pastebin.com/V7Rbeusb (important this paste is _not_ from my machine but on my machine it show similar error messages.
waiting for X server to shut down urxvt: X connection to ':1.0' broken, unable to recover, exiting.
