Font configuration basic help [SOLVED-ish]

Hi, I just installed Arch Linux and I start to understand how it work in general, however, I have no clue how to configure fonts (which I sorely need, the one I have is just terrible). I've read fontconfig's wiki page (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Font_configuration) but I am even more confused that before. It says how I can tweak fonts but how do I set font for general desktop usage? Or should I set font for X server or desktop environment (LXDE) instead?

EDIT: Apparently, LXDE has it's settings. It's bit unintuitive though (it has a GUI tool, but font isn't set under "font" tab.

Install the fonts you like, try https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … repository if you want (I'm using it and I like it).
If you still see horrible fonts, post a screenshot.

I don't understand. What do you mean by 'general desktop usage'? Arch is what you make of it, you can set your system up in many many ways.
