Looking through the latest issue of Linux Voice I thought I'd try some of the packages.
Fortunately they existed in the Arch repository, or ... so I thought.
Of the three packages I tried I recieve
==> ERROR: PKGBUILD does not exist
from Pacaur in all three cases. Pretty frustrating.
What can be done about it?
(Packages are octopi, Lightzone and Tomahawk)

We've moved to AUR4, some things have changed.
What about https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/lightzone/ ?

Going to have to look at that more closely when i have time. Thanks for the pointer.

I can find all three packages, maybe your AUR helper won't work anymore.
Edit: Please learn how to use the AUR directly before you use something more convenient.

Since the move to git the urls for the PKGBUILDs did change.

Please make some effort to understand the difference between official and unsupported repositories.
Not a Pacman Issue, moving to AUR Issues...

Latest stable version of pacaur should work without issue. Check your config, then read how to report bugs if needed (but these three packages seem to install correctly with pacaur).

Gazillions of ERROR: PKGBUILD does not exist.
Yeah, I'm partially to blame for that. *sigh* I should really get to updating my AUR packages.

Should possibly be a bug?

Not a bug. Also, read comments on the AUR page.
