There was recently a post about an issue with upgrading an i686 kernel on AMD 64-bit machines. The relevant bug report is #101971
I've tried updating my kernel yesterday and the bug is still a problem. Is there any word on whether this will be fixed soon or if there will at least be some message on the archlinux.org homepage about it? Has anyone had success with AMD 64-bit processor using the i686 kernel?
