[SOLVED] How to Get Bluetooth System Tray Icon in KDE

I have the necessary Bluetooth packages installed and am running KDE, but do not see the Bluetooth icon in the system tray. The wiki says "If there is no Bluetooth icon visible in Dolphin and in the system tray, add it manually." However I do not know how to "add it manually." When I access my System Tray Settings, I do not see any option for Bluetooth. Any ideas?

If I remember correctly, the Bluetooth configuration can be accessed in System settings > Network > Bluetooth. Also is the Bluetooth adapter enabled? What is the output of the following command?

$ rfkill list all

In System settings > Network, I only have "Network  Settings", "SSL Preferences", and "Sharing". Is this helpful?

Are you actually running the Bluetooth application?

That's wierd, I just installed KDE with plasma 5 and bluedevil, and the Bluetooth kcm module is exactly there. Are using plasma 5? From your screenshot it seems you are still using kde4 if so, then you should install bluedevil4.

If instead you are actually using plasma 5, what happens if you run systemsettings from the console?

systemsettings5

Can you also post the output of

kcmshell5 --list | grep blue

PS: Also, note that in plasma 5 the Bluetooth icon can be enabled in System Tray Settings > General > Extra Items (see this screenshot http://i.imgur.com/v11kasM.png).

All: thanks for the comments. I had been using bluedevil but am still on KDE4. Switching to bluedevil4 fixed it.
