On my system, all the available test movies fail to play via the Konqueror's built-in plugin (which uses Kaboodle to play stuff). Kaboodle's panel does appear, but displays 00:00/00:00 for time/length, and just stays blank.
So, how many of you does that happen to? Can you recognize any conditions that might be responsible for it?

I tested the link with konqueror (which i rarely use) and on my pc kaffeine played several of them without problems.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

I know Kaffiene works, my problem is with Konqueror's own multimedia plugin, which is completely different.

I also know that KMPlayer works... Could someone please confirm this for *Konqueror's built-in plugin*? This is not an issue with any other multimedia plugin.

If you can tell me how to switch between multimedia plugins I will test the page as well.

Try moving your Mozilla plugins somewhere else, e.g. /root. I think that should work.
