Gnome - "open with" menu is gone?

It is ridiculous how they are removing such useful menu items, while the archaic "move to", "copy to" and "Email" are still there.

How to get it back?

Bonus: How to remove the above three?

I still have "Open With..." but only on folders O_O

Previously they removed ability to open with arbitrary command, at the same time not all programs were listed in "Open With..." menu, I couldn't live with that.
While not solution for Nautilus, best solution would be to use PCManFm instead, it has all useful features that were removed (and will be removed ) from Nautilus, and more.

I don't have it on folders, either.

I only have an option to open the file with another program, but then that program gets set as the default. I want a "open with.." submenu.

It is very unlikely that something will be brought back into upstream Nautilus, unless you fork it and backport feature yourself.

Alternatives:
-PCManFM, has a list of recent program for file type on right click, including "Open With...", which includes a list of installed programs + ability to use a custom command.
Or various Nautilus forks:
-Mate's Caja have this functionality.
-Cinnamon's Nemo probably too.

I don't get it why are they removing this, while keeping "copy to" and "move to" menu options. Is anybody actually using that??

@technolog: I have read the thread. On my computer, the "Open With Other Application" menu don't set the selected program as default. It just opens the file with the selected program.

Properties / Open With sets the default.
