KDE Font Management preview not rendering

The font management preview does not correctly render the font preview. Is this a known issue? How should I fix it?

I'm not sure what more outputs should I post, so please, just say.

it seems that you are using plasma 5 and KF5 ( aka KDE 5 ),

I don't use plasma 5, but in KDE 4 the font management works correctly,

I know that some features from KDE4 have not been fully migrated to plasma 5/KDE5, it's normal to see bugs/missing features like this, plasma 5 is a young product with some flaws

maybe a problem in your home for the KDE configuration,

you can try to test with a new profile, or create a new user in order to see if the bug occurs with this new user

I've done another fresh installation and this issue persists.

@agapito: when did it start working for you again?when you upgraded from 5.3 to 5.4 on your regular installation?

I am also experiencing this with 5.4.0 version as well. Also I can't install fonts manually it just hangs when installing them
The only way I can install fonts is using pacman. Altho I haven't tried using another font manager to see if the problem persist.
I'll try that and let you know.

I installed the font-manager package from the aur and It works just fine.
I am able to install, remove and view fonts just fine. Can't do that with the kde5 build in font viewer.

Thanks, Ateia, good to know... but sad we have to install an external (gtk+) application to manage fonts in Plasma Desktop.

It seems an upstream issue.

Yeah it seems like it is an upstream issue. Before switching to Arch I was using Kubuntu and that had the same issue as well.
