Lenovo S540 Issues after upgrade

Hi All,

After updating all my packages yesterday via `pacman -Syyu` but since then I've had some issues.

Firstly, all of my network interfaces have disappeared, and now only the `lo` interface is showing.
If I run `lspci` I get the following entry:

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL81111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 10)

However as per the Wiki page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … 11.2F8168B , I've tried `modprobe -a r8169` and adding r8169 to mkinitcpio.conf but the module can't be found.
Is this perhaps why both my wifi and ethernet devices have disappeared?

The other issue is with graphics, for some reason when slim starts, the system freezes, I can't type and I have to cut the power to shut the machine down.
I've currently got intel.modeset=0 in my kernel startup line, but have tried removing this with no effect.

Anyone able to suggest what might be going on?
