steam is working, but theres no text what so ever

so after i was able to get steam working i got the login screen, the login screen had no text and if any it was static/gibberish, and once i was able to get into the main steam i got a page that looked like this: http://imgur.com/mVRxPcz
just the text from actual steam is missing not the steam store help what do?
