[SOLVED] aurget Won't Install Epson Printer Driver

I'm torn on whether to post this here or in Kernel/Hardware. Kindly redirect me as appropriate.

I recently scrapped a misbehaving HP inkjet and bought an Epson Workforce Pro WF-4630. I can't find a CUPS driver specific to the WF-4630 -- and would appreciate any guidance here, too -- so planned to try epson-inkjet-printer-escpr 1.5.0-1 from the AUR. When I run:

$ aurget -S --noedit epson-inkjet-printer-escpr

the result is

I just updated pacman-mirrorlist earlier today if that has any impact on aurget.

Hoping for guidance here. Thanks.

The source URL is incorrect/outdated...

This line illustrates that you should stop using the AUR until you take a moment to understand what it is and how it works.  In the present case the only problem is the source URL as noted above - but blindly installing AUR packages with no understanding of how the process works will eventually lead to real trouble.

Re: [SOLVED] aurget Won't Install Epson Printer Driver

My problem is now solved, thanks to guidance from misery and jamesan. It turns out that PKGBUILD was looking for the installation file on an Epson server and Epson released a new version (in a new location) two days before I started my setup. With their help I was able to modify PKGBUILD for the new version and install with pacman -U.  CUPS printing is a success.

Thus, the difficulty lay in my bad timing and a lag in the AUR catching up with external influences. I realize this is a volunteer effort worldwide and I both appreciate and respect the work by many people in making tools, utilities, and applications available.
