It is not possible - or forbidden, if you insist. A package remains the responsibilty of the original contributor unless they decide to orphan it. Exceptions can be made when packages are significantly out of date, and the contributor cannot be contacted. If you believe that is the situation here, raise it on the AUR mailing list.
