Network manager, RTL8188CE and memory corruption

So my WLAN card will deassosciate and then THAT happens, it happens about 50% of the time (marked by the wifi dying without disassociating, just not transmitting data and then reconnecting followed by one or more instantaneous failures, then it'll start working fine but the text will be all garbled, other things might also happen but it's reasonably hard to do about anything when this happens so I cannot exactly investigate it.

The only common denominator, and indeed the only thing that seemingly causes this, is the RTL8188CE driver, whenever it acts up something bad always happens, typically it's only something minor like messing up networking dependent software but other times it's things like this, poof goes the text and I'm left at an unusable system until reboot.

Indeed, what text gets broken is entirely arbitrary, as I started typing this post two of three h's in the http:// of the urls at the top were missing, now all three are. It changes as I type without rhyme or reason, indeed it also changes when I do not type, albeit not quite as frequently. Further it does not seem to affect steam at all, it still renders text just fine, why this is I cannot say.

I'd love to know if there are any known fixes for this as it is quite annoying (this is the third or fourth time it has happened in a reasonably short time span; I'd wager it's something along the lines of memory corruption or similar but I have no data to go on to prove this, perhaps it's som more general hardware failure (TTY's render fine btw).

How should I proceed with debugging this?
