Fresh Arch install only basic installed with Gnome 3.
I've got a Dell Latitude as I use this as my home desktop / work take-away laptop too, I have a docking system at home. Put the laptop on it, it lays there lid closed, and starts and uses the external ports provided by the back of the dock.
(1) If I already have booted and then put my laptop on the dock, everything works flawlessly.
(2) If I boot with the laptop being already on the dock, but lid is open, flawless yet again.
(3) But if I try to boot it with it being on the dock and closed lid it freezes helplessly as soon as it gets to Gnome log in screen / user select screen.
No matter how I open the lid then, how hard I try to switch to a text console, nothing helps but a boot in the way (1) or (2).
This is obviously not the end of the world but it's pretty irritating. Can you please help me how I could prevent this from happening?
