[CLOSED] Windows 7 won't boot after partitioning

I partitioned my HD to install Arch LInux, and it's working perfectly, but when I try to boot the previously installed Windows 7 from GRUB, it throws this error: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2004518 . But I don't have the Windows installation CD. Is there anyway i fix this from my Arch linux or a live USB ? I know this is a Windows problem, but I'm looking for a solution from my Arch Linux.hlinux.org/hlinux.org/

Sorry, I only know how to fix the Windows bootmanager from Arch in UEFI systems.

Perhaps if you give more details of your installation procedure we could see where you went wrong.

I shrunk my windows partition, and created 3 more (boot, swap and root) for arch. I think the shriking process may have affected the windows partition.

If you have a product key you can download the win7 iso from MS, which you can burn on a dvd or usb.

alternatively you can check the ms-sys package mentioned in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ma … oot_record, the changelog mentioned support for win 7

Actually I forgot to mention, i installed and set grub with os-prober.

It's always best to defragment the Windows partition beforehand and shrink it using the tools provided in Windows.
