i have irreconsileable differences with some developers and it came to a fore today. as a result i no longer consider myself a part of the development or arch community and as such this will be my last post.
there are a few reasons i have been extra testy in the last month but i will not get into those. my first and only concern as a developer was arch and anyone who would dispute this..well to put it a nicely as possible...can go to hell.
i will continue to use arch but my time walking across the shooting range with a target on my back is done.
g' luck arch developers.

You will be sorely missed! Please take the break away from AL duties but don't leave the forums. You insights and posts have been most helpful to MANY! Don't be a stranger over AL differences. Hope to see you in the forums soon.

i think you know what you are doing, so it's no sense to try to change your mind or something like this, but i have to thank you for some things you did:
thanx to have worked on arch, to your products
thanx for the help / support for arch (in the forum)
thanx for your oppinions in the forum
thanx for the ideas you had
and as you will go away from this forum (as you said), i wish you a happy new year (in some days)

What will become of the i586 port? Although I think the problem will slowly go away as a P1 becomes obsolete.

First on topic : thanks, Sarah, for all the work you did ! I realize how much it takes to commit yourself to a project ! (That's why I hesitate to ...)

nononono ..... ;-) .......
in fact I just updated my i586 laptop and I was thinking the same ...
but to clarify : I installed a i586 before Sarah's announcement as there was something in testing/i586 before. Now I simply updated to the packages that are in testing right now (not the easiest thing since current.db.tar.gz is missing in there ...).
