[SOLVED] Main volume control changes volume levels of programs.

When I change volume with Volume Control (LXDE) it changes volume of VLC and Banshee as well. It works the other way around to some extent. Same thing happens if I change master audio with Alsamixer (or any other mixer). Is this normal or I messed something up?

are you using pulseaudio? set flat-volumes to no in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf

That seems to be the solution. Thank you!
