Gaim problems after system upgrade

I am having problems with gaim 2.0.0b2 after upgrading my kernel and udev, etc.  I checked ~/.xsession-errors after unsuccessfully trying to open gaim, and found the following:

/usr/local/bin/gaim: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-glib-1.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

How should I resolve this?

Re: Gaim problems after system upgrade

pacman -S dbus

I think, try this...

Re: Gaim problems after system upgrade

I have dbus already installed, but I tried it anyway, and no luck.

Re: Gaim problems after system upgrade

The gaim package will have to be rebuilt against the latest dbus.

Re: Gaim problems after system upgrade

Gaim 1.5.0-2 from current still works.

Maybe you can go back to that version ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: Gaim problems after system upgrade

I recompiled gaim 2.0.0b3 and it worked.  Thanks.
