Hello. I can't boot the installation dvd at all. After I select to boot it, there's just black screen. I waited a few minutes, but it's pointless, as dvd drive gets quiet. The installation media is from March 2015.
Edit: I tried the newest Arch image and disabled secure boot. Still nothing.
Also I might add that I booted Ubuntu 12.10 live cd without any problems.
Edit2
I forgot to add specs. HP Pavilion G6-2260sw . Intel HD Graphics 4000 + Radeon HD 7670m
Edit3. Solved it.
Solution:
When in boot menu, don't choose to boot the cd, instead select efi file. Find shell_x64_v1.efi , if secure boot is enabled hashtool will automatically start and you will need to enroll hash https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un … ecure_Boot
Then when shell loads, first option Arch Linux archiso and it boots without any problems. Probably you could skip the whole shell part, but I'm not sure which efi file is responsible for loading archiso.
