After trying and failing connect to my university network netctl-auto stopped working. There is no competing network manager installed nor running. Any time I start or restart the service:
# systemctl start netctl-auto@wlp2s0.service
Job for netctl-auto@wlp2s0.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status netctl-auto@wlp2s0.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
$ systemctl status netctl-auto@wlp2s0.service

netctl-auto@wlp2s0.service
systemctl status netctl-auto@wl42s0.service
is it missword, or two different interfaces?

That was just a type here. Anyway I found that while $ systemctl status netctl-auto@wlp2s0.service will tell you something, # systemctl status netctl-auto@wlp2s0.service will tell you exactly what the problem is... another typo in a profile.
