[solved] X doesn't start anymore
This started happening a few days ago (before the ncurses update), X just simply does not start. I issue "startx" from the prompt, screen flashes, and then I get back to the prompt. I have emptied my .xinitrc to a single line "exec fluxbox" to rule out everything else, but it still doesn't work. I have an nvidia card, with the proprietary drivers installed, some packages and versions that might be relevant:

X is starting and terminating just fine.
What are you using as a desktop environment / window manager? (aside from fluxbox?)
Post the entire output of the startx command.

Figured it out, had a syntax error in my .fluxbox/init fie, it was actually fluxbox that was crashing, and not X.
