We have now the new kernel in current. Old nvidia package won't work anymore. Sadly the arch32 package is not working for arch32. So don't expect nvidia pkg -16 working.
I always get an error message like this:

So it works for me. When I don't give special pathes only running the installer without expert options Xorg comes up but lots of apps are not working.
I still have my old problem with low fps. I have a Quadro 550GLX which is a 440MX. It should be around 3000fps. I've lost the speed with Xorg7 update.

I just installed the actual nvidia 64-bit driver 8756 from nvidia:

successfully on my Arch64 system. No patch is needed for this driver. As in the past, I disabled the 32-bit compatibility during installation.
Then I tested tuxracer to test the 3D accelleration: Tuxracer shows a large black frame around a small application window in the centre. Hmh.

The question has not appeared here. Maybe you have the installer version "2". For me now I don't need to run the expert procedure. And the fps value is now ok again
I've alresdy done a new pkg for testing but errors are still the same

shame on me. a very foolish mistake in nvidia.install was the reason. packages in extra and testing are fixed now.

Hm. When I remember right both packages have worked for me. Do you get an error message?
You can diff the PKGBUILDs and install file to see if something is wrong.

I rolled back from the 8756 to the 8178 driver from extra and all is working fine here.

No sorry, I didn't check the error message because I thought "Hmm, I'll try testing and if that doesn't work I'll dig deeper" but it worked so I didn't bother
