Hi,
My problem is that sometimes when I start X (via startx), the touchpad is totally unresponsive. The Xorg.0.log file doesn't show any lines involving "Synaptics" at all. But if I restart the system (restarting X alone would have no effect), it usually works, and Xorg.0.log would have the expected lines like "config/udev: Adding input device SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad (/dev/input/event7)". Could someone please help me sort out this problem?
