[Solved] Gnome 3.16 Unknown Display

I'm running Arch in my ESXi lab with Gnome 3.16 and would like to set the resolution to 1920x1080.
However the max resolution I can run is 1360x768 and it says the display is unknown.
I've installed the xf86-video-vmware driver but I'm not sure if Xorg is using that or not.
Is there a way to force Xorg to use a specific driver? Any help with correcting this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: [Solved] Gnome 3.16 Unknown Display

I wasn't able to get Xorg to use a specific driver but I was able to get high resolutions by first increasing the graphics memory and then using xrandr --fb 1920x1080 to set it to that specific resolution. I wasn't able to use the GUI to set it to that that resolution so I had to use xrandr.
