MTP Alcatel OneTouch Pop 2 (4.5", Model 5042D, Android 4.4.4)

Hello, I can use MTP with jmtpfs and a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (2014) no problem with Arch Linux.

I can use an Alcatel OneTouch Pop 2 4.5 Model 5042D (Android 4.4.4, Kernel 3.10.28) with Windows and OS X but it does not work with Arch Linux.

Is there a way to make the 5042D work with Arch? Or can you conclude from my dmesg output where I should report this?

[ +1.747614] usb 1-6: new high-speed USB device number 4 using ehci-pci

Suggestions welcome, thanks!

PS: to compare, here's OS X's (weird) dmesg output:

USBMSC Identifier (non-unique): 0x00000000 0x1bbb 0xf017 0x225, 2

Android File Transfer still works though. android-file-transfer does not work on arch unfortunately.
