Kernal Panic Issues

Hi All,

I recently upgraded to kernel 4.2.2-1 from 4.1.6-1. During this round of updates I got a kernel panic on reboot. Therefore i followed the wiki to roll back my kernel.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kernel_Panics

However now on boot my system gets to my login prompt however I have lost the use of USB ports e.g. my keyboard is dud (They work in grub though...). I have also noticed that above the log in prompt it is still showing the newer version of kernel. Arch Linux 4.2.2-1-ARCH (tty1).

Should I be rolling back other packages?

Please help smile ty.

Olly

Re: Kernal Panic Issues

Sounds like you either need to rerun mkinitcpio or you don't have the proper /boot partition mounted when you downgraded.
