Hi
I try to simulate the letter "œ" on a german keyboard, what is the best way to do that? Xmodmap or xbindkeys?
How do I get the keycode for that?
Thanks,
napterk

Just use the unicode codepoint if you are not going to enter it in every third word?

One solution could be to enable the compose key. It would then be mapped by default by "<Compose> o e " (see here for the compose key). Xbindkeys is not really made for that.
@Mr.Elendig I do not know which language (s)he want to type, but it is a common character in some language.

I'm from one of those crazy countries and it isn't really used that much.

Thought about the Compose Key, but Mr.Elending is right, I don't use the letter that often. Using that unicode codepoint works with copy and paste?

The compose key prints all manner of other handy symbols...
