Extremely sluggish system
System is Arch linux

Linux truegeekllc 4.2.3-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Oct 3 18:52:50 CEST 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linuxrunning on a mid 2010 macbook, with a GeForce 320m graphics card. At first it seemed to be only when VLC was running, but now Chromium, Vuze, Android Studio, etc, all bring my system to its knees. If I switch to a tty before it comletely locks up, I can temporarily rescue it, and if i keep doing so, I can nurse it along indefinitely, but usually I end up being a bit to slow to switch to the tty, or something, and it freezes completely, and I have to power down. Powering down usually works, if I press the power button, it will shut itself down, I don't have to press and hold it until it dies. When I switch to tty, the screen is usually full of fast scrolling nouveau related errors, that make no sense to me, and I have yet to find where they are logged, if they are logged. I was going to post the contents of my Xorg.0.log, but as it is 133k+ lines, I decided to see if some one has something they want me to cat | grep it for, rather than posting the entire thing. journlactl has not provided anything that I could see was relevant, but I will post it anyway.
