Rebuild without redownloading?
Suppose I have a yoaurt package which fails to build. Is there a way I can edit the package file and attempt a rebuild in such a way that yaourt doesn't try to keep downloading the source files for the package?

With yaourt, I have no idea. With makepkg, yes: `makepkg -e' or if the build completed but just had problems you want to fix `makepkg -ef`.

makepkg -e is "no extract" not "no download". Makepkg doesn't need any flags to prevent re-downloading.
Edit: I may have mis-interpreted OP's situation, in which case Trilby's suggestion would be correct.
