Hybrid card is not working

Hi, I got some trouble setting up my system.
I had a big problem with it, it's a fresh install. On my last install I got the serverX to work on the card, using bumblebee and a bunch of other packages.

But this time it isn't working. The nvidia module doesn't seem to be up nor founded by the system.

Re: Hybrid card is not working

Did you set up the bumblebee service and added your user to bumblebee group?

In order to use Bumblebee, it is necessary to add your regular user to the bumblebee group:

# gpasswd -a user bumblebee

Also enable bumblebeed.service. Reboot your system and follow #Usage.

Re: Hybrid card is not working

If you're using linux, and not linux-lts or some other kernel package, and want multilib support:

# pacman -S x86-video-intel nvidia bumblebee bbswitch primus virtualgl lib32-primus lib32-virtualgl lib32-nvidia-utils
# usermod -a -G bumblebee your_cool_username
# systemctl enable bumblebeed
# reboot

To verify if bumblebee is working:

# cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch
0000:04:00.0 OFF
# optirun -b primus glxgears

Also I've used couple linux distros in last 6 years. Setting bumblebee on Arch was painless compared to other distros. I do not have to cross my fingers and pray, it just works.

Re: Hybrid card is not working

@Rethil

Followed your steps was able to still to have the same result after :
# cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch
0000:04:00.0 OFF

but when I run:
# optirun -b primus glxgears

I did cross my fingers, because I haven't got enough sleep trying to figure this out, but no luck sad this is the result:

[  785.424348] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: [XORG] (EE) [drm] Failed to open DRM device for pci:0000:04:00.0: -19

[  785.424386] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.

All I want is to have intel/nvidia using bumblebee, because I am on a laptop specific model : ASUS X550LN (https://www.asus.com/ph/Notebooks/X550LN/)

Please help
