Install Arch from USB Stick [solved]

Hi

First:Sorry, my englisch is not the best

I try to install Arch on my new Laptop IBM x60s, but they have no CD/DVD -ROM.

How can I install Arch from my USB Stick? Or From my extern USB HDD?

Can anyone help me?

Re: Install Arch from USB Stick [solved]

I think the easiest way might be to get any Linux system which will run from a USB stick (take a look at http://www.damnsmalllinux.org or http://www.sysresccd.org or http://www.puppyos.com) and then to follow the instructions on the wiki page http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … her_distro .

If you need to resize a W****** partition, you might find qtparted or gparted useful. I think not all the distributions mentioned above have one of these, but if not they can be added at run-time.
